Why should I send out digital wedding and event invitations instead of traditional cards?
SHIV packages allow you to save on costs with your invitations by avoiding paper invites, postage to send out invitations and for stamped addressed envelopes. SHIV also gives you an easy-to-use dashboard to help manage each event. SHIV makes you environmentally friendly.
How many different invitations can I have?
SHIV offers you four pre-wedding ceremonies, two for you and two for your partner. You then have joined invitations you can send out for Civil Ceremony, Wedding Ceremony and your Reception. You can change the event names to suit your specific cultural / event requirements.
How can I invite specific guests to my events?
SHIV offers the following invites:
- You are invited
- You and your partner are invited
- You and your family are invited
This allows you to invite specific guests to attend each or all the events you have associated with your wedding.
SHIV also offers you the ability to personalise each invitation with your guests’ names for every event.
How do I get guests to RSVP if they are not used to digital invites?
SHIV allows other family members to RSVP on behalf of their family members. Therefore, allowing all your RSVPs to be collated and kept in one easy place for you to view. You also have the option of RSVP-ing for your guests yourself in your dashboard.
Do I really need to have so many ceremonies?
No, each couple has different needs and wants, and you can pick and choose the events you wish to have. SHIV is here to help those who would like to have several events associated with their wedding and send out invitations digitally and manage RSVPs in a safe, secure and easy way.
Can I use my own image on SHIV invite templates?
We welcome our couples to use an image that they prefer for their invitations as long as they fit into our text template and is within the specifications stated in the upload image section (1920 pixels x 1200 pixels).
What if I require a bespoke invitation template and cannot source it?
SHIV will be more than happy to assist you with a bespoke design template at an additional cost. For more information, please contact us.
Can I keep a copy of my digital invitation as a keepsake?
Yes, SHIV lets you send a preview test to your account in form of a PDF which you can keep forever digitally.
Does SHIV provide a demonstration?
Yes, simply go to our Demo request page and either fill in the form or select a convinient time via the Calendly link provided. We will personally walk you through your account and how to use all of SHIV’s features.
What if I don't like the design template I have selected?
If you have not sent out any invitations to any guests, simply select a new design or upload your own in your account before sending to any guests.
How safe will my guests’ details be?
SHIV is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) and will not contact any of your guests or sell your guests’ details to third parties. Only you will be able to access your guests’ personal information and contact them unless you have opted for our Managed Services.

Can I use my dashboard for other events?
Once your main event has taken place with the package purchased, you will be able to keep your account for other life events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, parties, etc. SHIV will be adding new event features soon.
How much will a new event cost me?
SHIV is in the process of putting new packages together for our customers. If you require an urgent response, please contact us.
What is SHIV managed services?
SHIV offers you a service whereby we will manage all your guests RSVPs for you. We will send out all your invitations and chase your RSVPs via email or phone call, providing you weekly up-dates of your guest list.
