SHIV stands for Share Heartfelt Invitations Virtually – SHIV helps couples invite, organise, and manage wedding events with beautiful digital invitations and powerful RSVP tracking — all in one place.
How many event invitations come with SHIV?
SHIV offers you seven wedding events. You may use them all yourself or send two for you and two for your partner. You can choose to send out joined invitations for some of your events and you can name each event to suit your specific culture / event requirements.
how can i collect guest contact details with shiv via whatsapp?
Embed our unique URL in your Save the Date and simply share with your Main / Head Guests via WhatsApp. Your guest will then fill in your contact collection form and confirm their availability.
How do RSVPs work on SHIV?
Each Head guest will be sent a unique URL for them, ensuring no one else can view their invitation RSVPs. You can segment your RSVP questions per group or event, therefore, you only ask guests attending your Reception for their preferred drinks options.
can i invite different guests to different events?
Yes, with SHIV you can group your guests ensuring only those invited to speific events can RSVP for your invitation. You may choose to have only adults at your Reception and group guests accordingly allowing only adults to RSVP.
can i have bespoke rsvp questions?
Yes, our Managed Services and Diamond service include bespoke questions. If you choose our self-service, you can add bespoke questions for a small fee.
how many rsvp questions can i have?
You will have access to up to 30 RSVP questions that you can select from for either groups or events.
Is there a subscription or ongoing fee?
No, SHIV is a one-time purchase. Once you’ve paid, you’ll have access to your account and features until all your thank you card has been sent.
can i create my own invitations?
Absolutely! SHIV offers you complete creative freedom to design your own invitation designs. Simply decide if you wish to send out a portrait or a landscape invitation and follow our design guidelines.
Does SHIV offer wedding invitation designs?
Yes. We offer a selection of wedding invitations that you can view on our website. If you choose to use one of our invitation designs contact us with the invitation name and we will be in touch for your purchase. Our invitations are £75 and we will offer two rounds of amends or alternatively, you can amend the design yourself.
Does SHIV create bespoke designs?
Yes, for a small fee we will create your wedding invitation for you. Simply contact us with your theme or colour scheme. Our design services start from £150.
do i have to add a rsvp deadline?
You can choose to have one or not. Note that once the deadline does pass, guests will be unable to RSVP and we always recommend an RSVP deadline to help you manage and plan better.
how are invitations sent out?
All our invitations are sent out via email. Each guest will recive their own personal invitation as well as a unique RSVP and wedding website link. This ensures that no one else can view the events they are invited to or see the RSVP questions you may be asking them.
can i add more guests to my shiv account?
Yes. Each account comes with 250 guest RSVPs and you can add as many as you like. Simply contact us or visit our services page.
What’s the difference between the Self-Service and Managed Services options?
With Self-Service, you take the lead and manage your invitations and RSVPs yourself through the assistance of our video guides, you also have the option of booking in a demo with us.
With Managed Services, our team handles everything for you – from sending invitations to tracking RSVPs and managing guest details – giving you a completely stress-free experience.
are my guests details safe?
SHIV is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) and will not sell your data or your guests data to any third parties. Our platform sends each guest an individual email with unique links only for them ensuring further privacy and security.
do my guests have to download an app to rsvp?
No, SHIV is a desktop platform to cater for the complexities of multi-event weddings and cultural nuances. Therefore, you nor your guests will be required to download any apps.
How quickly can I get started?

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use SHIV?
